The Truth to Count On podcast, hosted by M.B. Mac, is dedicated to studying the academic disciplines through the lens of Scripture so that every field of study will be rightly understood as subject to Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is Lord—

That is the Bible’s declaration and that is the Christian confession. You cannot be set free from the bondage of sin and the fearful expectation of God’s judgment unless “you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead”. It is then, and only then, that “you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). To say that Jesus Christ is Lord is to say that He has complete authority over all. 1 Timothy 6:15 says, “[He] is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords”, and to say that He is the “only Sovereign” is to say that He is God. Earlier in 1 Timothy, Paul says, “Now to the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever” (1 Timothy 1:17). It is to that end — that God would be honored and glorified — that we were created. And thus, in all work and study, we are to consciously and actively revere Him in our hearts and act accordingly.

While honoring God in work and study ought to be humanity’s aim, a survey of the world shows that is not the case. That is expected from atheists, agnostics, pantheists, panentheists, cultists, etc., but not from those who identify themselves so closely to Jesus Christ that they take His very title: Christian. And while worship and fellowship may be done unto His name, the noble fields of work and study, created by God for us, have been relegated to the secular (as if there were a sphere of life that is separate from God). For example, if science were rightly understood as the study of how God upholds His creation, one could not say that it disproves Him. God is “a great King over all the earth” (Psalm 47:2) which means that He is also King over every career and discipline and nothing should be independent of Him.

It is that conviction and zeal that we at Truth to Count On have, and we want to share it with you. So we have launched a brand new podcast that will show that Jesus Christ is Lord over every discipline as well as demonstrate how that impacts students and scholars in the relevant fields.

Everything we do is intended to educate according to the Scriptures for your edification and the ultimate honor of God.
